The goal of the IHS Climate Action Expo is to inform participants about the realities of the climate crisis and equip them with a range of tools to address it. Numerous demonstrations of practical decarbonizing solutions, from composting to transportation alternatives, renewable energy, urban planning, building retrofits, and much more!
Stop by the PowerHouse to learn how to take climate action in your own home! This tiny home on wheels features an air-source heat pump as well as interactive exhibits on energy efficiency measures, and is powered entirely by solar energy. Visitors can learn about thousands of dollars in grants and incentives available to help cover the cost of home energy upgrades and cleaning heating & cooling technologies for eligible households (renters and homeowners). Energy educators from Cornell Cooperative Extension Tompkins County will be available to answer questions!
