About the project

Who we are
The PowerHouse is a project of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins County. The PowerHouse was designed by Stream Collaborative (with the support of student volunteers), and built by Mark Pierce and Ernie Bayles with the support of many other partners and volunteers .
Our Programs
The PowerHouse is an exciting way to bring science and energy education to life. Programs can explore a wide variety of topics surrounding science, energy, and the environment. Visit our Programs page to learn more about requesting a visit.
Our partners
Without all the community support we’ve received, the PowerHouse would only be a drawing on a piece of paper. Actually, we wouldn’t even have a drawing! The PowerHouse has counted on the support of scores of people, virtually all volunteering their time, to help translate the idea into a design, and a design into a Tiny Home with exhibits.
